*Hair transplant for post facelift surgery*
If you are looking for hair transplant after having facelift surgery, I hope this sharing would benefit you
I did my facelift surgery in Seoul last year on April 2025 and I opt to postpone my hair transplant for a year as I'm worried that my face is still swelling, which may also affect the accuracy the hair transplant consultation might not be accurate. Due to this reason, i had plenty of time to study and choose which clinic that fits my desire for the hair transplant
I have compared few hair transplant clinics from China, Thailand and Korea, until I come across to this clinic in Seoul that able to address all my concerns and meet my requirements:-
1. I want to extend my sideburns and lower the forehead height according to my face proportion, with a NATURAL flow hairline / not the uniform curve lines that look obviously that hair transplant has performed (refer the attached photo for better explanation)
2. Hair harvested from the back of my head is curly. I'm worried that the hair transplanted onto my forehead will grow into different directions which looks weird and messy
3. Fibrotic skin tissue after my facelift, which might affect the result of hair transplant (This is so important for those who had facelift surgery)
4. Minimum swelling after the hair transplant (my friend's head swelled terribly for 3 days and I try to avoid that if possible )
These are the informations about the hair transplant that I had performed
Clinic: Mo&line Plastic Surgery Doctor: Dr Lee Byung-kwon Date: 18 April 2026 Price: Approximately 14mil Won for forehead and sideburns, price adjusted slightly during face to face sessions for some additional recommendations Procedure: harvest method: Non-shaven FUE+FUSS Transplant method: no touch-slit technique Additional treatment: self-blood stem cell PRP injection Discount: Yes by providing review on online platforms on my experience
**Personally I felt quite impressive and confident that the information provided by Mo&Line during the online consultation is very comprehensive. They answered each of my doubts in detail, and they will explain me before hand what is my current hair conditions based on the photos submitted, what should I expect and how to solve them. The most important thing is that the final price doesn't not differ too much from the online quotation, which makes me feels that the doctor is professional and knows what he's doing (some quotations given online are way too cheap to lure you to go for it if you know what I meant)
Process: When I reached the clinic, firstly they reviewed and explained the quotation given, and interviewed me again to make sure that the surgery plan meets all my requirements Next, the doctor made the design on my head for final confirmation before sending me to the surgery It took around 5 hours for the transplant to complete, and they explained to me in detail about the post-operative care:
Day 1 to day 14: 1. I need to shampoo the transplanted area with a special shampoo, and to spray hair tonics and saline solution every 15 minutes interval. 2. I need to disinfect the incision area behind my head once a day for 10 days 3. Medicine prescribed for 5 days, and pain killer when necessary (for my case I did not take any pain killer as I don't fill pain at all) 4. No smoking/drinking, and avoid touching or rubbing the transplant area
Day 15 to 6 weeks 1. Back to normal routine, where I stop spraying anything onto my transplants area, and I can shampoo my whole head regularly
6 weeks onwards 1. Start using some products as recommended by doctor, which helps to promote hair growth and to prevent hair loss (doctor's suggestions based on my condition, so it varies for everyone)
That's all for my sharing, it's been a week already since my hair transplant surgery, and I will share my next after photo in 2 weeks time

------------------------------------------ Q. Why does the surgery take a long time?
A. Because a plastic surgeon creates each slit individually using a slit knife rather than an implanter pen, carefully considering the natural direction, angle, and depth of the existing hair throughout the procedure. |
